Robert Bigio is a flute maker, writer and historian of the flute. He has published two books: Readings in the History of the Flute and Rudall, Rose & Carte: The Art of the Flute in Britain, as well as countless articles, including many in Grove’s Dictionary of Musical Instruments and Lexikon der Flöte.
Robert edited the British Flute Society’s journal for five years and is presently editor of the Journal of the American Musical Instrument Society.
