Need to shake out some travel stress or let go of performance anxiety? Join me for an early morning Nia session where we will wake up our joints and senses, stimulate our balance, condition the heart and lungs, set our toes tapping, legs kicking, hips swinging, and arms and fists pumping.
We’ll explore some of the 52 moves of Nia– a fusion fitness practice inspired by the fields of martial, dance and healing arts. Nia choreography is highly adaptable and when you respond to music in your body’s own unique way, you can access that mindful flow state where time flies, distractions fall away and you experience the joy and pleasure of natural movement. No previous experience, equipment or special shoes required. Nia is best done barefoot.
Please dress in comfortable clothing and consider bringing a change of clothing for the rest of the day along with you–you’ll likely work up a sweat in this session!
